This paper investigates the geopolitical dynamics of resource allocation in international fisheries. Using the Eastern Atlantic bluefin tuna fishery as a case study, it demonstrates how state power, political lobbying, and scientific quotas intersect to maintain institutional stability, often at the expense of ecological conservation during crises.
